About Me
I'm a China-focused travel writer, photographer, and researcher with an MA in China Studies from Yenching Academy of Peking University, advanced professional Mandarin proficiency, and three and a half years of experience living in Shenzhen. With 14 years of Mandarin study and extensive independent travel throughout China, I bring firsthand destination knowledge and a strong foundation in Chinese history, art, and culture.
My work explores the intersection of travel, culture, history, and the natural world, with a particular interest in lesser-known destinations and experiences beyond the conventional tourist trail. Combining photography with narrative storytelling, I seek to capture the distinctive character of places and the experiences that make them memorable.
